 ABOUT US
John A. Barbosa, Jr., CPA, PC is a local public accounting firm providing
services to clients primarily located throughout Connecticut and New York. The
Firm provides a complete range of accounting, auditing, tax and management
consulting services to closely held businesses, not-for-profit organizations
and individuals. Our goal is to provide quality services on a timely basis.
Currently our staff is composed of the following individuals:
John A. Barbosa, Jr., CPA, PC
John has been a licensed CPA in Connecticut since 1979. He has spent all
of this time working with closely held businesses, individuals and
not-for-profit organizations. John spent several years of his early career
with a Big 4 Accounting Firm. Prior to starting his own firm, John spent 15
years with a large local CPA firm, including 10 years as a partner. He
received both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of
Connecticut. John is a Past President, Treasurer, and Board Member of the
Danbury Rotary Club, and has served as Rotary District Treasurer. He has
served on various Not-For-Profit Boards. He is an active member of the
Connecticut Society of CPA's.
To this day, and for nearly 30 years, integrity, communication, and top
notch service remain the key foundations of his business. In fact, many of
John's clients from his early years in Danbury remain loyal and valued
clients today.
A lifelong resident of Connecticut, John has lived in Brookfield for over
17 years with his wife and two daughters.
Linda P. Barbosa, MBA
Linda P. Barbosa, joined Barbosa CPA as a senior
consultant in August 2005 with a specialty in accounting for small
businesses and non-profits. She received a BA (Economics) from Fairfield
University as well as an MBA from the University of Connecticut, Stamford.
Her professional career includes several years of corporate experience as
an Assistant Controller and as a Domestic Pricing Analyst. Most recently,
she was the Business Manager of the Greater Danbury Catholic Elementary
Schools, overseeing the financial operations of seven schools.
Linda has a particular interest in optimal use of software to aid in
efficiency of operation for businesses and non-profits. She has extensive
experience with accounting software and is a Certified Quickbooks ProAdvisor.
